Used when you want to identify correlations more concisely than with a scatter plot matrix. Variables are arranged in a matrix in the same manner, and the correlation coefficient for each pair of variables is displayed – primarily through color – at their intersection. Redundant combinations (identical variable pairs and previously shown pairs) are omitted.
