Typically, time progression is represented along the circumference starting from the 12 o’clock position. Unlike circular charts or polar area charts, which complete in a single revolution, this chart represents data in a spiral pattern to highlight periodicity. However, a drawback is that as the spiral extends to two or three revolutions, comparisons become more difficult.
