What is this tool?

A web tool for generating and managing style definitions (JSON) for legacy Mapbox Classic styles. Mapbox Classic was a set of classic map style templates provided by Mapbox, used to generate and serve map styles compatible with map tools such as Kepler.gl and Foursquare Studio.

How to use

1. Obtain a Mapbox token
2. Enter your Mapbox token
3. Select a style template…Choose a Classic style (e.g., Light / Dark / Streets, etc.).
4. Generate JSON…Generate the Mapbox Classic style JSON based on your selection and edits.
5. Import…Import the generated style JSON into Mapbox Studio.
6. Base maps created in Mapbox Studio can be used in Kepler.gl and Foursquare Studio.
